The first step towards the second-tier league begins.
According to the board of directors announced by the Korea Volleyball Federation on the 25th, 14 teams in the men's and women's V-League will participate in the unemployment federation competition in Danyang from July 7 to 15 this year.
Each team should have a minimum of seven and a maximum of 12 players. Eligibility is granted if any of the following conditions are met: participating in the V-League for five years or less, participating in 50% of the previous season's V-League, participating in less than 100 sets, or not being called up to the national team.
The Korea Federation of Industries competition is a stage for young players who do not have many chances to participate throughout the season. Participation in the Korea Federation of Industries competition is expected to be a welcoming opportunity for promising players who are thirsty to participate in the competition.
The federation has been discussing with its respective clubs detailed plans for the operation of the second-tier league since last year. The federation and each club agree on the launch of the second-tier league, but judge that the operation is not easy right away due to various reasons including costs. Participation in the Federation of Korean Industries is a realistic alternative at this point in time. 먹튀검증
"It is difficult to create a second-tier league right now, so we planned to participate in the unemployment league," a federation official said. "Since we have a new start, we need to think about how to give opportunities to young players who lack time to play in the future. On the contrary, if we hold a second-tier league-style competition, it could be an option to come in from the business side and compete."
July is the national team convocation period, so it is difficult for each team to train at 100% full capacity. It is significant in that the remaining players of the team, especially young players, can promote their growth through actual games. There is no financial burden because all expenses are supported by the federation.
In addition to this, the federation has decided to run an elite youth team from 2026 to strengthen the national team's competitiveness and foster promising players. It is drawing the outline of creating a men's and women's team for the third to fourth graders (under 12) of elementary schools based in Seoul and then expanding it to club teams under the age of 15 and 18.
